September Newsletter 2017

Another Month has gone by so quickly, this month we did say our good byes to Miss Sharon who has helped us with Maternity cover for Miss Ally we wish her all the best for her future adventures. In October, we are welcoming Miss Ally back as our Toddler room educator and as we have quite a few baby’s graduating to toddlers Miss Esme will be assisting Ally in the toddler’s room. Hayley has already started her care as lead educator in Babies and I feel this is a very positive change for our centre and I cannot wait to see all the wonderful learning Journeys and experiences that the rest of the year still has to offer. I have also attached a parent survey to the back of this month’s newsletter Please feel free to openly comment your thoughts and suggestions we aim to provide the best care possible and would love to hear from you.

Love Amorette.

Babies Room

Dear Parents
This month in the babies’ room we have been really busy. It has been a big month for growth in the babies’ room and we have enjoyed watching each child learn a new life skill we have had babies begin to walk, crawl and become independent at eating we have also had our older babies discover their voices and are at the end of transitioning to the next room. Our theme this Month has been Spring and we have been filling our room with beautiful master pieces, flowers and butterflies please check out your children’s art work next time you visit the room is looking great. My (Sharon) last day at little rascals was on Friday (21st) I have loved my time here at Little Rascals Rockingham and will greatly miss the children and families and I am wishing you all the best for the future.

Love Sharon, Esme and Annemarie

Toddlers Room

Dear Parents
The toddlers have had such a fun and exciting month! We’ve been learning all about our letters. We have begun with learning the first letter of our names during mat sessions and all throughout the day by using photo/name flash cards and Miss Hayley writing up each of our letters on a whiteboard and asking if they recognise the letter. The toddlers have also really enjoyed reading ‘the very hungry caterpillar’, we’ve loved it so much we got to use special props to use with our story which have also been great to help with our counting skills.
Thank you and goodbye to my beautiful toddler families as now I’m off to the babies room, it has been such a pleasure getting to know you all and have the opportunity to care for your children.

Much love, Hayley

Kindy Room

Dear Parents
What another exciting month we have had in our Kindy Room, As September has marked the beginning of spring we have enjoyed exploring the colours associated with spring and the insects that we have found in the garden. We have continued on with our work on name/letter recognition and further developing our fine motor skills through daily experiences. We have also transformed our room through our theme of under the sea. We have been enthusiastically learning about the ocean and the creatures that can be found there. We have also started a box for daily “take home art” this is some wonderful art work that you can take home now, somethings will be kept for their Learning journals so please remember to check your child’s creative work folder found in the kindy’s room if you are unsure of where you can find this please see myself or one of the girls 🙂

Parent Questionnaire

Dear Parents & Guardians
We wish to provide your child/ren with the highest level of care. In order to do this, we would like your opinion on how you feel the Service is being run and how our programs and our philosophy are helping your child develop. It would help us if you provided us with your thoughts on what our Service’s strengths and weaknesses are so we can work to improve these.
Attached is a questionnaire which asks your opinion of some important educational issues. It would help us if you could answer these as honestly as possible. Your responses will be kept private and confidential.
Thank you for your participation.
